Hemingway and Havana in 1950's

Exclusive City Tour of Havana in 1950’s American cars. Following Hemingway's tracks, you will visit the places he used to frequent, before having a drink in Cojimar, a fishermen village where the writer had tied his yacht El Pilar.
On the way back to Havana, stop at the entrance of the port to lunch in a beautiful restaurant at the foot of the fortress "el Morro", from where you will have a superb overview on the bay. Panoramic visit of the Cuban capital, up to the garden of the hotel Nacional. Dinner at the restaurant El Floridita, Hemingway's favorite one. Later in the evening, romantic walk to the Cathedral square to savor a good Mojito in the Bodeguita.

 

 

Tobacco, Viñales Valley and Tropicana

You will go to Pinar del Rio and Viñales's region where you will visit a tobacco plantation in the sacred soil of Vuelta Abajo, such as Robaina’s or Pancho Cuba’s ones. Local "vegueros" will show you their fields and curing houses for the tobacco leaves, and will reveal some of their secrets to obtain the best tobacco in the world... The rustic lunch will end with a lesson of cigar hand-rolling and the tasting of a Cuban coffee at a "campesino" house. You will then be back to Havana to have lunch in a charming restaurant of the town.

 

 

Cigars, Rum and Salsa

During the visit of a famous brand name cigar factory, you will see all the processes involved in the production of high quality cigars. Then meet a Santero at his house (a priest of a cuban religion arosen from afro-catholic syncretism) and learn about the mystical world of the Afro-Cuban culture. You will have a special cigar lunch at Conde de Villanueva Hostal (the Habanos hotel), the meeting place for aficionados, including a private cigar tasting. Visit by foot the historic center of the town, followed by a rum tasting at the Fundacion Havana Club Museum. A stylish restaurant of Miramar welcomes you for dinner, and then you will spend the end of the evening under the stars at the Tropicana, most famous Cabaret in Cuba.

 

 

Golf, Glamour and Havana Dreams

Practice on the 9-hole golf course where in some occasions Ché had taught to Fidel, or get into the part of an international star and stroll through the beautiful surroundings of the Latin American Film School, frequented by numerous celebrities such as Francis Ford Coppola, Steven Spielberg or Robert Redford.

Lunch and free afternoon to relax on Club Habana's private beach, former Yachting Club of the capital. In the evening, the special 1950’s ‘Havana Dreams’ dinner will reimmerse you in Havana's typical atmosphere of those times and will allow you to appreciate once more the size of prestige, quality and show. The high quality meal, served near the swimming pool or on the terrace of la "Mansion" will be animated with live latin jazz music and some entertainment like a fashion show, live music by a former member of the Buena Vista Social Club, performance by a sculptor, presentation of a dancer of the Contemporary Ballet.

 

 

 

Chocolate Train, Sugar & Mambo

Today go on an exclusive trip on the nostalgic Hershey chocolate train with live music on board. You will initiate yourself to cut sugar cane during a stop in the plantations and savor a typical country lunch in the superb Hershey park. Your day will end in one of Varadero Peninsula's hotels, on the shore of the most beautiful tropical beach in the island. A welcoming cocktail, with a cigar tasting, will be served in the house of the famous billionaire Dupont de Nemours, before going to lunch in one of the restaurants of the town. The night will continue with a visit at the Mambo Club or the International Cabaret.

 

 

Varadero, Sailing and Farewell dinner

What will you prefer? lazing around on Varadero's white beaches or a sporty play activity? A day on the catamaran up to Cayo Blanco, with a lobster lunch snorkeling over coral reefs and swimming with dolphins... Or, alternatively, tee-off at Varadero’s 18-hole golf course, which overlooks the sea. For your last night we suggest a farewell dinner in an informal and casual style, on the seashore under the torch lights, at the rhythm of Caribbean music.
