Train: electric & steam

Cuba was one of the first countries of the world to have the train. It was vital because of the sugar cane growing industry. The Big Island still preserves many remains: more than 200 steam engines still working (a festival is organized every year to pay them tribute), an electric train (1917) called Hershey after the owner of the sugar factory, and finally an almost abandoned network of train lines that still lets the traveler get to the most remote regions of the island.
From a countryside sightseeing tour on board Hershey train with music and festive atmosphere to a ten- day stay through Cuba, taking all kinds of trains (steam, electric, diesel)... We organize the discovery of the island in a custom-made tour on the rails.
