Percussion: Buena Vista Social Club

He is one of the legends of the well-known group, standard bearer of the Cuban traditional music. He never changed his habits as a percussionist ; maybe just the suit he wears... He plays in Havana and accompanies regularly the best and most famous bands of the moment. Amadito Valdés, known on an international level as the "the Golden Drumsticks" of the "Timbal" (kettledrum), a typical Cuban musical instrument composed of two small drums, is still vibrating traditional music lovers, with quite simple sincerity and emotion.
