The International Festival of the Latin-American Cinema is the occasion for the moviegoers to meet in this continent. The Cuban cinema is a point of reference in this genre and the well-known School of Cinema and Television of San Antonio de los Baños must be proud of its sponsors: Francis Ford Coppola, Stanley Kubrick, Harrison Ford, Steven Spielberg... that visit the School from time to time to recharge their batteries. The films can be easily recognized because of their style: crazy, outmoded, satirizing itself permanently, treating the serious social issues with a disconcerting self-assurance.
